Volunteering NZ has called to together a small group to assist it in planning for a national workshop to discuss ways in which young people and interested agencies might work together to encourage and enable young people in volunteering.
 
01/03/2010 CALL FOR RUGBY 2011 VOLUNTEERS
The Government run website covering the Rugby World Cup 2011 www.nz2011.govt.nz encourages the involvement of every New Zealanders in the event. Under the slogan 'Give it 100%' they are inviting everyone to join the Cup not only as a spectator but in a more active way as a volunteer or host.
 
01/03/2010 YOUTH WEEK THEME AND CALL FOR GRANT APPLICATIONS
Based on the whakatauki "He tina ki runga, he tamore ki raro. Contentment above, strongly rooted below", the theme was decided by the NZAAHD youth steering group, founded and supported by Te Ora Hou Whangarei in conjunction with NZAAHD.
