Our Organisation

The Ashburton Cadet Unit is part of the New Zealand Cadet Force, which is a voluntary, disciplined, uniformed training organisation for youth whose aim is: To be the most sought after youth training organisation by providing a secure/safe environment in which young people can develop as individuals, gaining a sense of selfworth, personal integrity, self discipline and increasing self confidence through the acquisition of skills and the achievement of goals. The Ashburton Cadet Unit currently has 22 cadets and two offices, four supplimentary staff and eight active unit support staff who run the Unit.
