Our Organisation

The aim of the Friends of the Rotorua Public Library is to promote and support the Library and to facilitate its use and enjoyment by the public. We encourage and support the acquisition of appropriate books and non-book material and foster an interest in reading in the wider Rotorua community, especially children. We disseminate information and foster public awareness of library matters.

Current Activities

We raise money for the library from book sales and other fundraisers. We help at library events. We also provide reading material for other community organisations - eg hospitals and prisons.
Community Awards

The Trustpower Community Awards are run in 25 regions around New Zealand to recognise and reward the outstanding contribution voluntary groups and organisations make in our communities.
