National Community Awards
The TrustPower National Community Awards are the highlight of the Community Awards calendar, bringing together 25 regional Community Award winners to inspire and to be inspired - and, of course, to vie for the title of TrustPower National Community Award Supreme Winner.

The 2010 TrustPower National Community Awards were held from 18 - 20 March 2011 in the Tauranga and Western Bay of Plenty district. The Supreme Winner of the Awards was the Bay of Islands Vintage Railway Trust, from the Far North District. The Runner Up was John's Kitchen, representing Marlborough District.

Also announced at the 2010 TrustPower National Community Awards was the host region for the 2011 TrustPower National Community Awards, which are to be held in the Ashburton District from 23 - 25 March 2012.
Invited to the National Awards is two representatives from each of the organisations named Supreme Winner at the regional Awards, along with their region's Mayor and his/her partner, or an alternate Council representative.
At the National Awards each of the participating organisations will give an eight minute presentation on their group or activity. Each group is judged on this presentation, along with a 1,000 word summary provided prior to the event. The groups are judged by their peers, with peer judging making up 50% of the final score and the other 50% coming from an independent judging panel.
The Supreme Winner at the TrustPower National Community Awards receives a trophy, framed certificate, $2,500 prize money, a $500 voucher for any Exult workshops or resources and the increased profile and recognition that comes with this national success.
