VOLUNTEERING CONFERENCE TO BE HELD IN WELLINGTON |
Volunteering NZ's 2011 conference will be held in Wellington on 23 and 24 May 2011.

It will be followed in the same week by the Australasian Advanced Volunteer Management Retreat which is organised each year by Andy Fryar and Martin J Cowling.
The Conference will reflect that 2011 is being marked as International Year of the Volunteer Plus 10 and also VNZ's 10th anniversary year. With the Rugby World Cup and its major volunteer programme in mind one of the two main themes of the conference will be Events and Episodic Volunteering. The other will focus on Volunteer Management and the work which is currently being led by the VNZ working group on Managers of Volunteers Professional Development. The Conference Planning group is well into its work and progress will be reported in future issues of VNZ Update. The invitation for abstracts will likely be sent out in the next two-three months.
