The once-a-year opportunity to showcase and celebrate local volunteers has hit town with nomination now open for the TrustPower Oamaru Community Awards. |

Nomination forms for the 2010 TrustPower Community Awards available from the Oamaru District Counci OR from www.trustpower.co.nz/communityawards, or nominate online by clicking here. The Awards, which are run in conjunction with the Oamaru District Council, are open to all voluntary groups and organisations working for the benefit of the local community. Nominations for the TrustPower Oamaru Community Awards close on 30 April, with the awards scheduled for presentation on the evening of Monday 14 June. The Awards cover five categories; Art and Culture, Heritage and Environment, Health and Well-being, Sport and Recreation, and Education and Child/Youth Development. Category winners receive $500, runners-up receive $250 and the Supreme Winner will take home $1,500 and an all-expenses paid trip to the TrustPower National Community Awards.
