FundraiseOnline’s mission is to connect athletes, events, charities and donors in a simple, secure and FUN way.  Thanks to FundraiseOnline, charities can now offer their supporters a complete range of online donation services without the costs, risks and headaches of running their own systems.

FundraiseOnline is the brainchild of Tracey Richardson, herself a triathlete and passionate fundraiser. Tracey was the force behind the hugely successful Breath4CF fundraising campaign that saw Ironman New Zealand select the Cystic Fibrosis Association of New Zealand as the first charity ever to be associated with the event in its 20-year history.

Tracey is also a mother with four children, two of whom have Cystic Fibrosis. When fundraising for Breath4CF in 2004, Tracey was frustrated by not being able to build a simple web page for her and other athletes who wanted to fundraise for CF.  So she set about creating www.fundraiseonline.co.nz.

Tracey’s vision is for FundraiseOnline to service all athletes, events and charities in New Zealand. Tracey has completed two Ironman races including the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii so understands the challenges of training and fundraising at the same time.

With FundraiseOnline athletes can build their own personal fundraising page, email their story to friends, family and supporters, who then donate securely via credit card.  The money is sent straight to the chosen charity in the athlete’s name - no messy forms and no hassles of having to collect all the funds after the event. Athletes can even keep a blog of their training and upload their own photos.

So who can take part in FundraiseOnline?

Absolutely anyone!  FundraiseOnline is not just for large events, like Ironman New Zealand.   From organised fundraising events to individuals who just want to do something to make a difference, FundraiseOnline can help.  And it doesn’t have to be raising funds for a registered charity – FundraiseOnline have recently expanded their service offering to include other not-for-profits, schools and other community organisations.  Click on some of the links below to see some of the people who are making their mark through FundraiseOnline.
