Social Media - love it or leave it

Posted on: Monday, May 2, 2011

We want to know YOUR social media stories!  Are you doing it?  Is it working?  What's your advice?

Social media is the number one activity on the web, but many people don't know where to start or, once they do start, how to make the most of it.

A number of Community Connect users have asked us for advice on how to start their online conversation - and we thought who better to ask than you!

So please tell us your stories.  Are you using social media?  If so, what social media are you using?  And are you achieving what you set out to achieve - whether that's to communicate with funders or members or to attract people to your cause.  What challenges and opportunities have you discovered on your social media journey.

I'm looking forward to hearing your stories!

PS: While you are getting ready to pen your response to this post check out a You Tube clip I have discovered by clicking here....really interesting and slightly mind-boggling!  Also there are heaps of online resources available, including a series of webinars on social media for not-for-profits.  All the links to these resources are available at from our Social Media Marketing article - just click here.
