The Rimu-Woodstock Hill Lookout was officially opened in February 2006.  The Lookout is the result of three years work by the Rimu-Woodstock Heritage Group.  The group's volunteers fought to save the land from development and restore it for all to enjoy!  The Rimu-Woodstock Heritage Group won the Heritage and Environment category of the 2005 TrustPower Westland Community Awards.
