Dell’s 2 in 1 Inspiron review

Dell has released it’s 2018 Inspiron 15 7000 2 in 1 laptop which is priced from $899. The laptop is Dell’s midrange laptop and is better than the budget laptops in the Dell range but not as premium as the XPS.

This Dell laptop has a beautiful aluminium body and depending on the configuration you select, you have the option of a 4K screen. The 4K screen is only available on the Abyss Black Model and the price for this model starts at $1,359.

The laptop’s body is pretty straight forward with not much excitement going on although the body does have a premium feel. It has moved with the times and features the edge to edge display ridding itself of the hated bezel. If you’re not forking out for the 4K display you will be getting a 1080p screen.

The body is relatively small and the laptop weights a little of 2kgs. To keep those that like lots of options, the Inspiron 2 in 1 does have a good assortment. There is a HDMI, USB Typ-C and headphone port and then on the other side there is 2 USB 3.1 ports and an SD Card reader. Unfortunately there is no Thuderbolt 3 charger on this laptop which is a bit strange since most new laptops released now will include one.

The keyboard on the Inspiron 2 in 1 is pretty mediocre. The keys are not very high and they feel a little bit stiff however typing on the keys does have a nice response to it.

On the bottom of the PC are stereo speakers and when set to a high volume you can get dcent sounds from it in a relatively large room. Although, the speakers are not quite good enough to handle the higher volumes.

The Inspiron 2 in 1 has a Intel Core i7-8565U CPU along with 16GB of RAM. The computer does not have trouble with any of the video tests we put it through and didn’t skip a beat on other tasks.
